I Hate Birds

Hey yous! So I am good as always and had a great week!
Funny/crazy things! A lady followed us with a sob story, needing money, etc. and long story short, it all ended up being a lie. #awkward Then a drunk Jamaican guy at the bus station was telling us about his religion being all about peace and love and started singing "lets get together" to us and saying we could come by any day, anytime. Also, birds hate me and I hate birds. Less magpies swooping and attacking me haha but now little house birds. This bird tried flying onto my head last dinner appt. as i ducked in the fetal position in a corner and then this week it happened again- twice! It even followed me as i ran into another room. This is why I am a dog person haha!
Tender moment: I was sick this week. I know we aren't suppose to tell people back home so they don't worry but whatever. I was running a high fever, I am a nursing student, I diagnosed it correctly (even before getting a thermometer at the very end of the day) and called our mission President's wife who is not only the cutest thing ever, but also a nurse, who was so cute and knew I was doing the right stuff to get better. But in this one day- a member dropped off a big basket of get good goodies and 3 other members called to see if I was ok. #feelingthelove #bestwardever But laying in bed a whole day without Netflix and just old testament videos... not too fun.

Miracles: I think I might actually have a baptism! Wait, I know it. I got a big slap in this face this week and pretty much heard God telling me "have more faith Sister Rushing!" Stacey is so golden. We made her baptismal calender and she should be baptised after 4 weeks of meeting her! It has been 2 weeks today and she has been taught EVERYTHING. She agrees with it all, prayed and got an answer! SHE GOT AN ANSWER! She asked if it was true and waited like we told her too and got the most overwhelming calmness, peace and her heart was racing. AH! Love her. We are actually going to get our nails done with her after emails today for p-day hehe :) But so cool teaching someone so prepared. Also, working with heaps of less-actives now who want to get their life on track now and go on a mission too just like Dion. There is so many miracles and satisfaction when you see someone change their life around and see the effect it has on others.
Food: of course if I was doing categories I needed to include this right?! Trying to be healthier. Minus the gelato. But my parents were in Europe all week. I had to be with them through a little thing of gelato right?! But I had a healthy yummy Cajun chicken and mango salad with honey poppy seed dressing at my favorite cafe Injoy! And then I learned how to make the New Zealand fried bread. It is like scones. It is super good and I will make it for all upon my return :)

Australia: It is spring and the sun has been shinning and its been getting hot. Until I remembered spring is the rainy time. So it has poured the last 2 days. So getting Christmas music playing seems a little more appropriate. Stoked for Christmas but it will be weird being so hot. But one thing I noticed, all houses are either brick or stucco. Oh and the moon, when its not full, the crescent is on the bottom not on the side. Cool eh?
The church is so true. So grateful to have the fullness on the earth today. So grateful for all the sacrifices people made so it could be. I love the peace it brings my life and the peace it brings others who have hit rock bottom, or who thought they had everything going right until they realized what is missing. Love you all! Thanks for your prayers and support. Can't believe in 4 weeks I will only have a year left. Going too fast.
Sister Rushing :)
