Crazy
week! A lot went down but here are some fun highlights and miracles!
On pday,
I got to swing. I loved that. Shout out to Sistah Briggs!
Feed at
the Filimuauas where when they brought out donuts for dessert, Bro Filimuaua
joked "I made these just for you Sister Rushing.... and I didn't wash my
hands" HAHAHA #crackup #germophob
I
realized how long I have been here when a baby that was born 2 days before I
entered the MTC is now all grown up and CRAWLING.
We had a
dinner appointment at the Youngs and they invited nonmember friends that had
HEAPS of questions. Which they did, but without bible bashing. #whew #miracle
I finally
had "Shrimp on the barbie!" Thanks to the Normans. Except sorry
America, that is actually a funny joke on our country. Since they don't even
call it shrimp here... it is prawns on the barbie haha
We
changed the lyrics of TSwizzle Love Story for our voicemail machine answer.
Pretty cool eh?
Alek, the
15 year old Sudanese we got a parent permission for, well she full on BORE her
testimony of being Christian her whole life but finding the ultimate happiness
in this gospel and how her relationship with Christ has changed and everything
to her nephew Jason, who is just dying to get permission from his mom/her
sister who is now back from Africa and come back to church again. They couldn't
make it yesterday for some reason but hope everything is still ok there... They
are a huge miracle :)
Trish is
also so ready for her baptismal date on the 8th, but might be potentially moved
around for scheduling issues. She has learned everything, loves it, loves
church and even got a blessing. Oh did I mention she even took notes at church
yesterday? For reals.
Oh and
the Sterns came to church! A long term (like decades here) older less active
couple we have been visiting. There were definitely some jaw drops when they
showed up yesterday #fullheart Which I might add was the second overflow being
opened Sunday in Belconnen ward!
But big
shifts in the ward. Just quickly, my old comp got transferred to another area
mid transfer. She is replaced by an incredible sister from Tahiti. I just adore
her! With how we re-divided the ward, I am now working in all the areas I
coveted my first transfer (thou shall not covet) so between those two things
this area is a lot different now so don't think I will be too burned out. Being
kept on my toes for sure.
Graffiti Jump with Sister Holtz while saying good-bye to members in Belconnen
Bubble Tea with Sister Sauaki
Oh and
p.s. I spent 4 hours in the ER yesterday with my "sick" companion.
haha Nothing was wrong. Good stories from the mission right? Good stories. Fun
week.
BUT...
don't worry about me. The work is still moving forth here and nothing will stop
it. I know as I am diligent and serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind
and strength, I will continue to see miracles. Thank you for your love prayers
and support. I know this is the true church. I know we have a living prophet
today and I know that no matter what trials come over us, if we trust in the Lord,
and read his word, we can make it through anything. I love the comfort that
brings and sharing that with the people here in Australia. Love you all! Have
an incredible week :)
Heaps of
Love! Sister Rushing :)
Scratch that Stash!
FInally re-organized my scriptures!
